  • Consisting of 1/2 oz of 9999 Fine Silver
  • Obverse: Features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
  • Reverse: Features a three quarter frontal view of Styracosaurus roaming through the semi-tropical vegetation that it called home

This new series of colourized coins realistically depicts life in pre-historic Canada millions of years ago.

The first Styracosaurus fossils were found in 1913 in modern-day Dinosaur Provincial Park. This herbivore roamed the land during the Late Cretaceous period, and is thought to have traveled in large herds.

The reverse features a three quarter frontal view of Styracosaurus roaming through the semi-tropical vegetation that it called home. It's imposing visage is frightening, even though this beast had no teeth!
